Born in Seville, Juan Galiardo graduated in Music Education from Cadiz University (1998) and then Magna cum Laudem from the Berklee College of Music in Boston (2004). He received the "Berklee European Scholarship Tour" and a scholarship from the Andalusian Goverment to complete his studies at Berklee. There he received the Piano Department Chair award in 2004.
Juan has performed in Japan, the Philippines, USA, England, Ireland, UK, France, Spain and Portugal. Jazz piano and Harmony teacher at Evora´s University (Portugal) in 2011 and was the organizer of the "Cadiz International Jazz Workshop" during four years. Nowadays he teaches Jazz Piano and Ensemble at Cadiz University Jazz course.
Juan has performed with international Jazz artist including: Jerry Bergonzi, Dave Santoro, Gregory Hutchinson, Reuben Rogers, Darren Barrett, Dick Oatts, Joe Magnarelli, Ralph Moore, Freddie Bryant, Donny McCaslin, Willard Dyson, Patrice Blanchard, Mark Whitfield, Yosvani Terry, Mark Ledford, Kelly Sae, Francisco Mela, Andrea Michelutti, Jimmy Weinstein, Dayna Stephens, Perico Sambeat, Antonio Serrano, Deborah Carter, Gildas Boclé, Manhu Roche, Martin Andersen, Sinne Egg.
Besides Jazz, Juan has toured and recorded with Pop, Rock, Flamenco, Songwritters, Blues and Soul artists (El Barrio, Los Cucas, Javier Ruibal, Tu cara , Solomones, Guillermo Marín, Merche Corisco, Olga Rossano, Señor Trepador, Los Atlánticos, Mr Groovy & the blue heads) and worked for the main TV Channels in Spain.
