Jazz at the University: Cardiff University Jazz Ensemble with Mark Lockheart and Huw Warren

Cardiff University Jazz Ensemble and their director, Huw Warren, are joined by award-winning saxophonist and composer, Mark Lockheart, in a programme which will feature Mark’s work.  In 1992 Mark formed the eclectic quartet Perfect Houseplants, a group that released six albums and collaborated with classical artists such as the Orlando Consort, Andrew Manze and Pamela Thorby.  

 In the intervening years, Mark has performed with Radiohead, Prefab Sprout and collaborated with Mark-Anthony Turnage on a number of projects, including Turnage’s opera Anna Nicole. Mark has also continued to record and release jazz recordings which have won critical and popular acclaim.
