Bridgend Music Service is proud to present the Globe-trotting riot jazzers, Youngblood Brass Band
Youngblood Brass Band will present a history of New Orleans music from the late 19th century to the present, including a discussion of how brass bands have affected popular culture throughout the history of New Orleans,introducing the concepts of the Jazz Funeral, Parade Band Tradition, Second Line, and the Social Aid and Pleasure Clubs.
Youngblood Brass Band have been touring throughout Europe, the States and beyond for the past 20 years, performing in over twenty countries, and being featured at the biggest music festivals in the world: Roskilde, Glastonbury, North Sea Jazz, Blue Note, WOMAD, etc. Their intense on-stage aesthetic secured their status as an incredible group to see live, whether in intimate club settings or on international festival stages.
