Matheus Prado Septet is project which joins tradition with contemporary music.
The compositions and arrangements goes from classical music to African rhythms and melodies, passing through Europe and America.
With heavy influence by Kenny Wheeler who mixed traditional sounds with modern harmonies, this septet present a pallet of different colours, bringing to the audience a new approach to contemporary jazz.
In their repertoire we can find an African Suite in four movements or a Brazilian traditional song (O Bom Filho a Casa Torna) among others that show their versatility and different sound textures.
