Wales' Biggest Jazz Festival
This weekend sees the return of the Swansea International Jazz Festival. With over 50 events across 15 venues, the City of Swansea will be full to the brim of music fans and party goers.
Set in the Maritime Quarter, The Dylan Thomas Theatre and the Dylan Thomas Centre will host the main ticketed concerts and there are also workshops and a host of free gigs in the fringe festival.
Festival Director and local pianist Dave Cottle, programmes weekly events at the Swansea Jazzland and has put together a strong and diverse lineup for this years festival, with jazz stars from across the globe, including Pee Wee Ellis (The JB Horns) and Louis Prima Jr. and The Witnesses from the US, Brazilian guitar virtuoso Daniel Marques and Italian trumpeter Jim Rotondi.
The festival is also a beacon to some of the UK's top acts such as Tiny May, Pete Long, Laurence Cottle and James Taylor.

The Fringe Festival is full of many regular acts from the UK scene and a great compliment young musicians that are looking to build their profile amongst many of the events big hitters and if you'd like to get involved there are numerous jam sessions and workshops free to join over the weekend.
